READ THE WHOLE THING FIRST AS SOME OF IT IS DONE OUT OF ORDER!!!
Setting up an fserv by Hung_LoSome stuff you'll need to get started.
- Sysreset, it is by far the easiest, most convienent, most flexible fserv script that I know of.
- Lots and lots of ANIME and bandwidth :P
So after you install sysreset be sure to setup your nick and server and such.

Depending on where you installed it, goto that folder and right click on mIRC.exe and goto Send To and click on Desktop(Create Shortcut). You can close this window now. Double click shortcut on desktop. First window close, second window is this. Setup nick/server blah blah blah.

If you are running a firewall be sure to open port 113 as this is for ident. Most servers even though will let you connect, if they can't do an ident on you it will disconnect you from the server.
Also if you are like me and you hate the mIRC sounds. Turn them off here.

You can leave everything else default. Now connect to a server with top left hand lightning bolt under File.
If all goes well you get this.

er except that your nick blah blah blah. If you get that its because somebody is already using it. Change yours like this /nick n00b
put whaever name here. Now join the chan you want to serve in. /join #animejockies whatever.
Next in menu, goto Sysreset/File Server Manager.

Now you can setup an fserv in the File Server Triggers tab.
Ok click on File server trigger, then clik on Add next to Fserv Trigger List. Type in the trigger you want for people to get on your fserv, like anime1, or mp3's, or porndaddy, whatever. Try to keep the trigger with the theme of what you will be serving.
Next is welcome file, click on cancel, unless your really paranoid and serv warez then this is where you would put in the text file with government warnings and such. Next is to set folder you will be serving. Keep in mind, EVERYTHING in this folder will be seen by people that get on your fserv, so don't select a folder like c:\, most my stuff is in sysreset download folder so....

Click ok.

This is what it looks like when you are done. Click on the trigger and on right under Settings make sure /CTCP trigger is checked. Later on if you don't want to serv you can click on trigger and uncheck Enabled. Access Mode is great for only allowing OPS ppl with @ or voiced ppl with + to access the trigger. On Global make sure Respond to !list is checked. Or you can uncheck it and only tell your friends the trigger and only they can get on. Next is Trigger Channels. Uncheck All Channels, you don't want that, trust me. Click on Add and enter the name of the channel you want to serv in. You can have as many triggers as you want, keep in mind the more you have, when people do !list in chan it may flood you off the server.
Next is Tdcc Triggers tab. Click it.

Look familiar. A few differences. You only serv ONE file with this, usually a list or something. Click on add, type trigger for it. Ok, next pick out file you want. Ok, next and so on. Again make sure /ctcp trigger is checked as I forgot to do in pic. Respond to !list, and trigger channels. Ok, moving along is XDCC triggers, everybodies fav. Click it.
Click on add, enter a pool name, whats this? Sometimes you have different channels you want to serv in, but you don't want to serv the same files in the other channels. So to help YOU keep track of what goes where. I'm in #animeforever so I put af.

Click on the trigger, and goto right under File List and click Add.
Now you can select what file to serv. Its somewhat like tdcc, except you can have a long list of files. Click ok. Now you enter description of the file, usually I goto file name and copy the name and paste into the description. Again make sure Respond to !list is checked and you uncheck All Channels and enter ONLY the channel name you want to serv in. Where it says Ad Delay, most channels will NOT let people do a xdcc list, so click on Small AD and make ad delay about 30min. Small ad only displays |Nick </msg nick xdcc list>Fastest time, amount leech| but that's it. That's all you want, otherwise you'll flood off the server doing a LONG list which shows all the xdcc files your serving. Ok so far all you've done is setup triggers, now to display ad or not display ad.

Most channels prefer Silent with !list. If however they allow ads then select On. Next, if you selected Silent with !list, your finished, but if you selected on then right click in the channel and goto Force Advertise and select your server, being tdcc/xdcc/fserv or whatever. The simulate will display the ad, BUT will only show up on your screen and not everybody elses. This way you can check for errors or if you forget trigger name or whatever.
You can even right click in channel and goto Fserv Notice:, this will show msg to everyone concerning your fserv. Maybe for FSERV CLOSING FOR NIGHT, or whatever or HD FAILED NO MORE FILES. Hate it when that happens.
Next close all those windows and goto menu and Sysreset/Addon Manager

Make sure you Load find.ini and fserv_tracker.ini.
The find.ini will enable the @find function on your fserv. So if somebody does @find file in the channel and your fserv has the file then it will send a msg to that person telling them that you have the file.
The fserv tracker is NICE. Goto a channel and do a !list. Now goto Sysreset down to bottom Fserv tracker. Click it.

It has all the fserv's in a nice neat format and keeps track of them, simply click on nickname, triggers show on right and double click in the triggers window and wallah your in. Guess I shoulda added this to How to leech instead :P, anywho a few more things.
YOU CAN NOT SEE YOUR OWN FSERV IF YOU DO A !LIST !!!!
Ok. Glad we got that out of the way. Now go back to Sysreset/Fserv Manager/Server Config

Look under Basic Options. Max sends can be 1 per person and 1 total, or if you can upload around 40k/s put total=2. Next is queues. Put like 2 each and 20 total. If you have a FIREWALL Click on Basic Options and goto Advanced Options.

Make sure FIREWALL WORKAROUND IS CHECKED. Also in top left is where you can change the color of the fserv ads. Ok well that's it, have fun
